      I have acquired a 1955 Evinrude 25hp outboard recently and from what I can tell this outboard would have originally come with electric start.  But the starter and the correct flywheel with the ring gear is not there.  I have managed to locate a starter but does anyone know of a part number.

        Michael I can get you a PDF parts manual for your  motor but the file is too big to post here.  If you would like to PM me your e-mail address I can send it to you.  In 1955 the 25HP was available both as a rope start and rope/electric.
