A “picture perfect” day on the lake with nary a breeze.
Sorry about the pasty while legs….. first time with shorts
      on this year!

Wow, this motor gets out and boogies! With about 450#’s worth of passengers,
gas tank, oars, etc., it managed to do 18.6 mph.
This motor exceeds my little Alumacraft AL’s hp rating for sure.
I had some issues after a while with the “parts box” needle and seat,
which “was” working okay in the test barrel, but started flooding out the motor later on.
Sadly, I should have installed the new needle and seat that sits on the workbench.

Anyone know what the actual horse power that these motors “put out”?
I know Mercury underrated their hp ratings.
I’m told these motors were based on the Mercury MK25 powerheads, but
were sold with less reed valves and perhaps some carburation changes.

I have one also. Great motors. I am guessing between 16 and 18 actual horsepower

Thanks Chuck. I bet the Mk 25 must really fly too!
