Working on converting a two line fuel system to a single line. My question is: I have 80 PSI on both cylinders, is this adequate for this old of outboard??

on one of those motors should run ok. My 5.5 is a little less than that and runs fine.

80 pounds is good for that motor.

my turned out to be an excellent engine…

I used a cheap B&S pump mounted on the back cross bar on my 5.5 you can probably do the same on the 7.5 if you can mount it somewhere

the best way of course is a OMC pump on a cover plate

or…. find a side cover with the moldings ready for a pump

Thanks for the replies. I’ve ordered the B&S fuel pump. When I receive it I’ll figure out where to mount it.

80 psi is fine, particularly that you have the same reading on both cylinders. If there is more than 5 psi difference in the 2 cylinder readings the problem becomes serious and the block needs total teardown and rebuild.
