I’ve had the same problem with certain websites. If you were trying to direct him to the online service manual, I uploaded one and a condensed version good to download for a week at this link – https://we.tl/t-lrHeUotPNM

Thanks Guys. Something is seized up but I dont know if it’s the lower unit or the powerhead. I pulled the plugs and looked at the cylinder and pistons (what I could see) and it looked brand new. The whole motor is in great shape, I am surprised I cant get it moving.
I am going to pull the powerhead and determine if its that or the lower unit. Stay Tuned!!

It’s such a great looking motor I really want to get this figured out.

Have you drained the gearcase? Perhaps the gearcase is seized up, or the driveshaft shock spring has sprung binding up the gearcase….

Not sure how to do that or how to investigate “driveshaft shock spring”. Guess I’ll have to read up.

That has a Nylon starter paul that may break. It is common for the clutch below the water pump to expand and cause the drive shaft to lock up. I don’t have the Johnson parts book but most Evinrude Fisherman / Fleetwin parts are interchangeable. I hope this helps . . .
