Hey friends I have a 1957 Johnson seahorse 5 1/2 HP  The prop has a rubber nut cap, how does that come off? Does it pull straight off, or unscrew? I don’t want to tear it, but I’m about to!

      Thank you.

Just a general note on handling rubber parts… cold and stiff is not your friend. Warming the parts in hot water or with a hair dryer ( if you still have hair… not me!) will greatly aid installation or removal. …  also, a little soapy water is a big help in installing tight rubber parts.
