First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We are truly blessed to be able to "play" with our hobby. 😀

I have decided to bring an engine back to life that was originally purchased as a parts motor. (This REALLY going to be a project!)

It is a 1957 Sea King 5hp model: GG8960A SN: 75X664550. I believe this to be the same as a Gale model 5D14.

I need help with a couple of items.
      1) Locating a parts catalog/manual.
      2) Obtaining part number(s) for the piston rings.
      3) Finding those rings.

Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Click on images to save to your computer and then enlarge the picture for better viewing of parts and numbers. I hope it comes out clear enough.

If the images are not clear enough, I may to look for a clearer copy.

Download the 5D14V manual it is the same as your but listed under the name Viking. It is the same Gale motor.

                fyi just in case….
sometimes pictures can be pasted back into a blank POWERPOINT slide and expanded at will
                to blow up the details.
