Just purchased this treasure for some unknown reason and now have to dig up some information about.  Sure could use a Parts and service/repair manual of some sort as this is my first experience with anything other than Mercury.  Any help in getting ignition parts, water pump and carb kit would surely be much appreciated.

Your Brooklure appears to be a 1958 Gale Built Model 5D15.  Attached is a PDF Parts Manual

Really nice Gale Service Manual :

          Seakaye12,

Thanks to you for the quick response to my manual requests.  The parts and service manual you provided is exactly what I was looking for.  I do have another request.  Do you know of a source for ignition parts (points, condenser) carburetor, fuel pump, water pump kits, and gaskets or other miscellaneous parts??

My thanks again for your assistance in obtaining the Gale Manuals.

Well you have OMC part numbers in the manual.  Probably a Google search will answer most of your needs.

The magneto looks to be the Universal magneto used for decades.  I would suggest trying to salvage the existing points (clean and polish) as replacement points (even OEM) are not the quality they used to be.

The carb too looks to be standard OMC fare;  just give it a good cleaning.  Maybe you will not need gaskets etc.   If you decide to buy a carb kit….ABSOLUTELY get the OEM version.  Many of the aftermarket varieties are absolute garbage.

The water pump just go by the OMC part numbers.
