I am currently trying to put together a long shaft. My powerhead is rebuilt and I have my doner motor that is currently a long shaft. I need to take the water tubes off this motor for the one I’m rebuilding that’s currently in better shape cosmetically.  I cannot find any info on what I need to do in order to get the tubes off.
      any help would be appreciated.

They made 5 inch water tube extensions that simply slide onto the short tubes. Or cheat and go to Home Defect and pick up a couple of pieces of 1/2″ rigid copper water pipe and a couple of sweat solder couplings. No need to solder them

Replacing the original tubes is a major job.
