      The bearing in the magneto adapter & pilot assembly is bad and I want to replace it but I can’t figure out how to disassemble the unit to get at it. The adaptor and Pilot assy. is located between the Magneto and the cogged timing pulley. There is no mention on how to disassemble this unit in my Mercury service manual.

        In the top there are 2 tabs in the slots bend them down then the round nut will turn off. 1 914 310 7086.
