      I have a 1950s Whirlwind runabout with a 1959 40hp Mercury outboard that hasn’t run in several years. I’d love to get the engine running, but I don’t think I have the knowledge or skill to get it running.

      Would anyone be able to recommend someone in the Chesapeake Bay regions (preferably Eastern shore) who works on outboards like this?

          If you google “Tim’s Classic Outboards” his info comes up.
