      No bad luck here. Only good luck as I had a ’59 Lightwin given to me which was broken off in the area indicated. The PO had it mounted as a kicker on his boat and while navigating with the main motor, he bumped the wharf with it breaking it off. Since he had no use for a broken motor, I jumped on it when he offered it to me as I had the parts needed to fix it. It runs great now and someone had already installed new coils in it. That’s what I call good luck!

        Ah-ha, the rest of the story, as they say. Just a light "bump" against a wharf and it broke. Durn puny little motor.

          I collect them.
          I have ’52 through ’59 and a ’67 sailboat high thrust, and a ’67 folder.
          They are great motors.
