On these motors does one put 105 grease or 90wt gear lube? I am asking this because that is what I found in the gear housing (90wt). Would corn head grease work? This motor has hung im my shed for 6 years and hasn’t leaked a drop in that time. Also, there are no signs of water in the oil. Regards, John C

Thanks. Corn head grease it will be. It sat for 6 years because I was a bit apprehensive about changing that water pump impeller. It wasn’t that difficult. My biggest problem was digging out the remains of a broken screw that held the cover for the pawl springs. Thank God for helicoils and JB weld.
