      Unfortunately I did not pay attention to the orientation of the spring when I disassembled the motor to refurbish it.
      Is this correct? Does the straight part of the spring go over or under the arm? I have tried all possible position variations, and the spring really doesn’t do anything as far as tension on the arm?
      The red Johnson manual doesn’t show any pictures other than what I have attached here.
      What am i doing wrong?

        US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

        I think it is correct. All it does is put a bit of tension on the lever so it doesn’t rattle.
