Does anyone know what a 1968 Mercury 110 9.8hp weighs? I’ve searched all over the internet and can’t seem to find the spec.

Not sure about 1968, but 1976 catalog says 64lbs. Probably not too far off.

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

I was able to find the weight of the newer model that you mentioned, but I’m looking for the weight of the model before that with the metal cowls. Anyone?

Jp you know you can stand your motor on a bathroom scale! Stand it on a small block of wood. Works for me!

I would if I had the engine! I’m contemplating getting one pending it’s weight.

I have a 1967 Mercury catalog and it does not list any weights. I don’t think it was something they were proud of back then. I have a 1972 catalog, though, that still shows the 110 with the full metal cover and that says it weighs 71 pounds.

I had a 1968 model, and I can say it weighed in heavier than 64 pounds.

Bill. The 72 is pretty much the same engine other than the ignition. That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!
