      What was the original factory color of this motor?  I have one that has been repainted a sort of metallic blue but I’m not sure that this correct for this model year.  What I am finding so far is a green (or gold) color.

        Hi,

        Attached is a page from a 1974 Johnson Sales Brochure.  The green/gold color of the mid-section and lower unit was used through most all 1974 models.  I would think that the vintage outboard paint link is the correct color but you should ask them for confirmation.  Then the cowling was essentially white.  I’m sure they sell that as well.

          Thanks for the advice Seakaye.  I went ahead and purchased their paint even though it’s a bit pricey.
