      Anyone happen to have manual or literature for 1979 johnson 85hp

        US Member - 2 Years

        i own a 1978 Evinrude 85. I have read the piston ring (top) is very close to the top of the piston. Do a compression test on all 4 cylinders, should be around 10-15% with in each other.
        Check the gearcase for clean oil. Iv’e put new seals in my mtr 3 times now.

          You wouldnt happen to have any literature on motor would you
