      Just took this one in. It’s a 1985 35hp 2 cylinder. Basically half of the 4-cylinder 75 of the same era. With one difference – the 75 had the Power Port pistons with the approximately 1-inch hole in the skirt. The 35 did not have the hole. All else appears the same on the pistons. Is there any reason I can’t use the holed skirt pistons in place of the original solid skirt pistons in the 35? I have several of the holed ones on hand.

        I don’t think it will make any difference, all else being equal. If the cylinder wall had a matching hole (like the 75) It might give you a little more power. But then, what do I know – I’m an Evinrude man … 😀

            The power ported Pistons worked great! Got the motor running this morning!
