      1. Where is the serial number on an Bendix Eclipse ?  2. I have a very small 1/4″ crack on the thin bottom edge of the hinged lids hoods edge.  After preheating how safe is it and what type of rod or any other tricks?

            A 1/4 inch crack, if not on something structural, I would leave it alone. Now if you insist on fixing it, find someone that is REALLY good with TIG, that hood is very delicate.
