      You are so right buddy, simpler is usually better….I don’t want to say that these don’t idle as well as the old ones, they do….It is just more of a project to get them there…And, you are right, if it is idling OK, don’t mess with it….

          The 50 is a looper design and loopers are known to not have the best idle. Loopers shine in other areas such as higher performance, fuel efficiency and cooler running pistons due to less piston mass exposed in the combustion. Hydraulic tilt/trim and availability of stainless steel propellers is nice, too. I went looper a few years ago and will not be going back.
