      Got it running today. Amazing compression and initial running in a barrel is ok but it is not cooling. I have not attempted to take the LowerUnit apart yet. What can I expect to find for cooling? Metal impeller? Rubber? Check valve and cam? thx

        1931 will have a piston pump. Check valve may be sticking, or the eccentric may be worn down, or the pump piston may have a hole worn in the end that rides against the eccentric. The hole in the piston is fixed by soldering a copper penny over the hole. Later models had an aluminum veined centripetal pump that must be under water in order to pump.
