      I have a question on this motor. I am finishing it up and only lack re-sealing the lower unit. Can someone tell me what the part number is for the prop seal I have in the picture and where I might get one. Possibly a substitute?? part number I think the motor is around a 1957

        If you measure the shaft diameter and the bore diameter the seal is pressed into, you will likely find something at the site below. If you can find a Scott part number, and if Chicago Rawhide made it (which is very likely) the 2nd link below is the manufacturer’s cross-reference site. Chicago Rawhide is now SKF.

            US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

            As a last resort, it looks like there is plenty of room to fabricate a sleeve to fit a smaller seal OD. Don’t overlook stock outboard seals–generally made of stainless steel. Sierra has a chart showing sizes.
