That thing on top is a 375628 Venturi Assy – Slow Speed. Now that I said that, I gotta admit I don’t remember how it works. 60 years since last seeing one can do that to a fella. Now to dig into an old service manual to be re-educated.

Thanks for all the responses. It seems simple enough. Just going to take my time cleaning it and reassembling. Does any one ever mess with that brass seal? Or just leave it be?

I wouldn’t touch that seal until it is known to be giving you trouble.

Never had any experiences with these early models, but they look very interesting….

The float doesn’t look too bad. Going to have to move the bracket some because the hole is wallowed out some. If I want to recoat the float, what should I use to do so. Thanks

I have used crazy glue after a good drying and sanding some use airplane DOPE clear buryate sealant used in hobby airplanes
not available everywhere so I used the thick crazy glue (2 coats)

be very careful with crazy glue vapors in lungs and eyes !!!!… USED IN VENTILATED AREA !!!

That glue works but make sure your float still floats! To much glue will make it heaver and it will flood your motor with to much gas.
