    I found this in my motor and would like to make sure it is correctly placed. The parts diagram seems a bit ambiguous on the exact location.

      I can’t get your picture to open but the slinger should be sitting on top of the crankcase boss right below the magneto cam.

          OK, I responded to this question on reddit…

          Please let me know if you have more questions…  I am concerned when I see that alignment pin still in place with the crankcase pulled apart though…And, wondering why the point cam is all gouged up.
