Thanks for posting those manuals. As it happens, I just picked up a ’56 Fleetwin at the Madbury, NH meet, so I can relive my childhood, hopefully without throwing a rod, this time. I notice in the owner’s manual, the starting instructions say, “Place both the high and low speed levers on four.” Does this imply that in the number four position, the needles are at their initial settings, or are they put to number four after the needles have been all dialed in? The latter is what I have always done….
