Is this a 1959, and is it a Golden Jubilee?
Seems like I’ve seen other style of 35 hp hoods
also referred to as Golden Jubilee’s.
      Thanks.

Yep, it’s a ’59 Lark Golden Jubilee. Gold is a tad faded.
But the brochure’s colors aren’t quite correct either.

Yup – a golden jubilee – I have one like it. There should also be a Golden Jubilee emblem in the middle of the dash plate if the key switch, etc is still with it.

Looks like the wiring harness is coiled up with it.

I’m hoping the heavy wire seen is the complete wiring harness.
It would be nice to have a real one and in usable shape!

You probably already know this, but if the wiring harness is not all there, or if the key is missing, etc., until you get all that together, leave the big plug disconnected from the side of the motor and it will rope start because the key-switch is not there to disable the spark.

I ended up getting the 59 Evinrude Lark 35 hp today. Only problem
is that it came with a 1957, 14′, Crestliner Viking Convertible, Model 730,
and a 20 hp Mercury, long shaft, according to seller & unknown make of trailer.
I was originally looking for just a trailer, but that sure snowballed!

The Evinrude Lark is missing the ID tag of course, so not sure if that’s
a long shaft. Can anyone tell from the photos?
(have not measure the motors yet, but the boat transom
is 16-1/2″ (from top of transom to bottom of boat, not keel.)
                      My Cadillac runabout is 15-1/2″.
                      Both motors are electric start.

The seller said he tried the Mercury out on the boat a couple of years ago,
and that it ran okay, but the shifting control worked backwards. He had to
push the handle backwards to go forward, and vis-a-versa.
Would that be the wrong Mercury control for the motor, or something
in the control box put together wrong?

The Evinrude Lark has the solenoid box (missing cover) and and Evinrude
shift / throttle control box. Seller says he started it about 5 years ago,
but never run it on the boat.

The boat appears dent free with no repairs on the hull. Can’t say the same
for my Cadillac, so may be selling that……. if I don’t, I’m still short a trailer!
Looks like I’ll be busy all winter!

Anyone know what make of trailer it is?
I haven’t been able to find a make yet.
It road very nice down the road with the
                        coil springs and shocks.
