Ad 11 Johnson

I picked up an Ad 11 Johnson…It has fire both cylinders…Rebuilt carburetor…It runs like a minute dies…after it sets a little bit..It will start back an does the same thing again..I put a different carb on it ..It still does same thing…The fuel tank I am using is good..use it all the time on other motors…I set the low an high speed 1 an half turns an 3/ 4 on other…It sounds good while running..Any ideas an help would be greatly appreciated..thank you

did you do  all the electricals…              did you vent the tank  ?               does is get to hot to touch   ?     is the water pump working ?

does it keep running  if you pump the fuel primer  button  on the tank   before it dies on you ??

did you clean the  glass bowl filter element under the carb … ??     drill a few holes in it if to plugged up to clean

does the hose connector to engine leak fuel when you pump the primer

Only electrical work I done, was clean points an new plugs.It has fire..I rebuilt one carb, and then put a different carb on it, both will run a minute an quit..I cleaned fuel bowl.connection for fuel line isn’t leaking,,, the preasure tank that I am using works good on other motors,,I have even used two different preasure tanks..Could the coils or condenser be dropping out..It’s got me..It just seems like it running out of fuel?

It is pumping plenty of water also..is not getting hot

I also tried pumping primer button on tank…and it still quits,I even tried to pull choke half way,,still dies…

Bad condensers will do that.

see picture of problem areas  if coils original  they are likely cracked….best to redo all the electricals but   try condensers first has suggested

Ok…thakyou….Crosbyman…I will replace condemsers…an check points  again…if that don’t work..I will replace coils…I will get back with you once I get it changed out..to let you know which one it was…thank you  again for the help..I appreciate it
