      Found a strange looking bracket on a Seagull in my collection. Looks too nice to be home made although some of you guys do make some very nice custom pieces.

      I think another part to this bracket was attached to the boat. Help me out. Maybe one of you have seen this before.seagull-transom-bracket

        Yes, some creative guy came up with a “quick attach” motor mount. Looking at the picture, I think that the cross bar would fit into a socket. There is a tell tail  wear mark on the lower part that would have done the “push” .   Are there allen head cap screws on the clamp part? a dead give-away of a skilled home mechanic.

          Yes, there were allen screws used. Who ever made this did nice work and the motor must have ran pretty nice to deserve such effort. Thanks for your input.
