This is the drain on my alumacraft super C. It is unlike any other alumacraft drain i have. Anybody know the correct diameter? It looks like a finer thread pitch as well as being a smaller diameter than the other alumacraft ones i’ve seen.

My Alumacrafts have a smooth hole with a rubber bung, not threaded. Yours may have been owner modified at some point.

looks like my Durotech S13uses a plug with straight threads and a rubber washer. if you need pics I can take them latter.

It may be the same as a Feather Craft plug that used British standard threads.

My Super CS has the same thing – I’ll take a look at the plug tonight.

And I’ll bet my Deep C has it as well.

Thanks for the info guys! Here’s a picture of the bottom of the drain. Kinda cool. I discovered it’s 5/8 fine thread. Hardware stores (so far) only have 5/8 coarse. I’ll keep looking. Going to have to be short too, to fit inside the drain assembly.

Maybe an autoparts store or junk yard? Looks like an oil pan drain plug would work.

IF you cant find a short one put a nut on then a rubber washer to shorten it up. you now have a handle. mine is a wing nut type.

You could shave down a wine cork in to a cone shape, twist it in and done. Good excuse to kill a bottle of wine.

Not that you need an excuse. Just sayin’.

The shipping will cost you more than the bolt, but Bolt Depot carries 5/18-18 in various styles and grades of bolt, if you can’t find it locally:
