I have acquired an old Johnson motor and can’t seem to find an on-line resource for identifying age or horsepower. I’m hoping someone can help from photos attached. Additionally, if anyone knows a value (if any) that would be appreciated. I note a bracket for attaching steering on the back, parts on the carburetor for attaching a throttle, and an electrical plug for a kill-switch and wonder if this might have been for racing.

It sure looks like a KD-15 with the rewind starter and rear facing spark plugs. S/N 480009 would make it a 1945 model which seems about right as it has the post war Sea Mist Green on it.
I have several Ks and will say it’s worth whatever someone will pay for it. There’s no guide for value or price. My last K-75 in runnable condition cost me $150. Model KR are race-ready and rarer so fetch more $.
Many parts are interchangeable with the pre-war model K & KA alternate firing twin, shroud, recoil and carb excepted.
As stated, it’s a KD-15. The plug for kill switch was added, maybe it was used with steering and a remote throttle. Nice running motors, have some fun with it.
I’m curious to see how a throttle was hooked up, could you post pics of the carb?
