      This is suppose to be an antique prop guard for
      a 2.5 hp Johnson. I’m guessing it’s not a factory
      option, but rather an accessory.
      Any idea who made them?
      Did they work, or just gave the weeds more to catch on? 😮

        That is antique, and very cool to have. They were more for rocky areas like rivers than weedy places. The fact that yours isn’t beat up makes it a keeper for your collection. Nice find.

          Don’t think I’ll actually try it out, but it should look
          neat on my Johnson.
