Which one of these handles is the appropriate one for a 1958 RDE-19C Johnson Sea Horse ?
Searching the net, I see both used for different years but I’m unclear as to which one
would be the "suggested" one for the RD-19…..

The to one is correct for the bronze and white RD. The lower one is for the SSH

The lower pic 306236 is for the super quiet like the ’58 RDS 20

The upper pic 304914 is for the single wall 35hp like the RDE you mention, or a ’57 Javelin, ’57 standard, etc…

EDIT: Sorry Adam beat me to it.

Thanks guys. I just picked up a really nice RD-19 and would like to have
the correct handle on it prior to paint.

Need a carry handle? I have some NOS 304914 ones still in their wrapper. One even has the little cloth bag with the mounting bolts attached!

The 306236 handles are only good for hanging your catch on at the end of the day for a photoshoot! 😀

LOL Mumbles – I have 3 or 4 of the later model handles.
After I get my RDS-20 refurbished, I will post some pics
of my crappie strung on the handle like that. That would be a hoot.
