What say ye of above mentioned motor?

Bendix SMD, serial # 3C998, in my mind is a Bendix Single, magneto, Deluxe version.
What do I look for what should I expect?

      Thanks

      Richard

Be careful reinstalling the flywheel as the points can be damaged if the cam on the flywheel isn’t lined up correctly. Maybe consider using lawn mower oil in the mix to as the Bendix is air cooled.

If you need a set of new points, I have a P/N somewhere for ones from an auto supply which match the originals.

It would sure have to be nice to be worth that much. I paid $300 CDN for mine and I thought that was a fair price for a motor in really nice original condition.

This particular motor is NOT in really nice condition, but he is insistent of believing it is worth $500, I wished him good luck

The one running in the drum came in a package deal and it worked out to less than $50.
