Long time lurker, first time poster!

I have the chance to buy a 1958 Johnson Super Seahorse 50. Yes! A fatty!! (Don’t think it runs, and don’t know if it’s locked up or not.)

Google doesn’t bring up much info, so I figure I’d try all the knowledge here.

Is there a FAQ or someone’s rebuild thread with the basic info? I tried searching for ‘v4-10,’ ‘Johnson Super Seahorse,’ and ‘Johnson 50’

I have the Clymer ’56-72 manual, for the basics. I was hoping for the “You should really do it this way” advice from all you experts!

      Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that link. The diagrams help a whole lot, especially when the part numbers are below.

Should be able to pick up the boat, trailer, and motor after the holiday weekend. Once I open her up, I bet I’ll have specific questions.
