Guy has this Allison for sale, I see a lot of articles about them, are they rare? I don’t need it, too much stuff, has 90 100hp mercury and trailer, 750, been sitting.

A friend recently got one, but I don’t think it’s in use yet. I guess they are pretty good little hot rod boats. A guy he knows has a 13′ bathtub tunnel hull with a built Yamy 4 cyl. and a ridiculous prop – something like 31" pitch. Last I heard he got 94mph out of it, I saw a video, it’s fast.

For the size of it 100hp seems like a lot of motor, this one is a 15 footer, so he says. 94 is fast, more than I need.

Yeah, the Allison is a little hot rod, but with an older 100hp. you’re probably looking at about 50-55mph. – maybe, if it’s set up right. My friend with the Allison is using a 14′ or 15′ Baja with an older OMC 4 cyl. now – just rebuilt and just a few upgrades for a couple more HP, he gets about 62mph. but the Baja doesn’t have a pad on the bottom and it chine walks some, probably not a problem on an Allison. C’mon, get the Allison, an OMC V6, hydralick jack plate, propped right, 80-85mph.

Allison holds several world records for speed. I have ridden in one many times and the acceleration is insane.
