I’m having trouble getting the old Bowden cable out of my Evinrude Speeditwin tiller handle. I don’t see any set screws that hold the cable into the handle itself, am I missing something? Thanks for the help!

I don’t know about that particular application, but I have seen on garden equipment where the outer sheath of the bowden cable is actually screwed (thing threaded) into a hole that has been tapped to suit the wound coil pitch.

          Perhaps this will help?

I’ve tried to post an exploded view of a tiller from the 1946 Evinrude Speeditwin Parts List but because this site makes everything so difficult it won’t post. Go to the FB site and post your query. I’ll put it up there. No small wonder everyone is going there. It simply works.
