Is it true? I must take powerhead off to change impeller?

Yup!  Power head needs to come off.  It is not to bad a job.  Just take your time maybe take some pictures.

SEE UTUBE.   EASY JOB   TRY TO SAVE THE BASE GASKET UNDER THE PH ….IF YOU NEED A NEW ONE  CHECK YEAR OF MANUF SINCE BASE GASKET  PATTERNs DIFFER.       you need 18-3001c

careful with the carbon seal on top of the drive shaft … brittle little thing !!

these are great engines but before you invest to much $$$ … do a compression test …something above 75-80  would be considered low but  I have seen worse and these little kickers  will make  great trollers.

do pull the FW and check for cracked coils… all easy parts to swap condensers points coils  wires  it is all in the book below
