Hello,
I have a Clinton Engine Corp L750 3107 series
My serial number is 9994476
Type # XTV 52207I bought this outboard used, and there is no spark, so I took it apart to investigate.
It looks like someone did a number to the flywheel with JB weld, causing the timing to be off. Like the flywheel spun and stripped the Keyway.
Does anyone know how to repair this, or….know anyone with parts for this Outboard?
February 27, 2022 at 12:27 pm #255352Could the flywheel keyway be machine to fit a larger key?
They a stepped key could be used, keeping the original size
for the crankshaft. Of course, you’d have to keep the “timing”
in mind when machining the flywheel.Prepare to be boarded!

“Jeff, I saw you had a pdf sent to you by “buccaneer” in 2016
For the L750 3107 series
My serial number is 9994476

I wanted to repair this to get running….no spark……
Is there a chance you still have it and could forward it to me?
Please and thank you in advance!”February 27, 2022 at 6:58 pm #255392Don’t know where the OP lives, If around here ( SE MI) I would say just look for a parts motor. Clintons are pretty common and not to desirable as collector items… like $10 (or free) parts motors, at our swap meets.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
