I’ve been in contact with a guy that advertised his motor: "antique outboard motor continental" & the #s, on an "Outboard Motors Corporation" riveted plate read 4168 0044. He says it’s a one lunger. ME Chart – 4168 = 1936 Evinrude 5 HP. Do y’all think that is correct? On the controls end of the lower shroud is a crest that looks familiarly like E/rude & seller says that is where is reads "Continental". Maybe I simply have not run into one of these yet. Has any one seen this? Thanks, George

May 7, 2015 at 12:28 am #15451There’s a couple of Continental single cylinders being advertised on Ebay right now – they look anything like the one you’ve been looking at?

May 7, 2015 at 12:03 pm #15476Say, that 1936 Lightwin Imperial 5hp, Elto or E/rude? Just the name shouts out to me. Was that a single or twin? George
