I am looking for the correct rubber tiller grip for a 1936 Johnson model 100 and a 1929 Johnson J-25
Many vendors sell tiller grips, but I want the correct one in fit, form, & function.

I think this is what you need. They are available new.The wooden plug goes inside the grip on models with hollow tiller.

          Hello Stanley,

Thanks for the picture, are these still available at an OMC dealer? or do you have another source maybe?

The ones I bought off Ebay are to thick, i.e. look fat IMHO

          Thanks,

          Bob

I believe the original hollow handle used a heavy spring to absorb vibration. The very first Johnson used wood handles that were covered with padded leather.

The 100 probably uses the one labeled “Large Champion”and the other motor maybe the same or smaller version.Check hole diameter to make sure.

                    Hi Stanley,

I will send George an email, as I know he has an ADD in AO magazine.
Thanks for all the help as I hate wasting money on grips that don’t
                    Fit or look factory O.E.

                    Best Regards,

                    Bob
