Came across these in a LOT of parts I bought. Any idea what they fit. Niehoff brand both of them. Boxes are in poor shape & the only thing missing is the top flap with information on them.
The first coil (second pic) is showing a small little ring for the secondary attachment point? I assume these are not OMC coils?
Someone may need them for their project. I do have some Neptune/Muncies, but other than that not much use for them.Dan in TN

May 10, 2018 at 10:51 pm #75725Sorry guys, had my measuring stick right beside me. The first coil (top pic) is 7/16" square. The second one is 7/16" X 1/2". Hope that helps! Thought maybe the numbers would do the trick if anyone has Niehoff cross over stuff?

May 10, 2018 at 11:13 pm #75728They are both Repco (Phelon) coils. Used on various motors so I can’t be more specific.

Small primary wires. vs

Larger wires.
Are these the coils that don’t fail too often?

I don’t think that one on the Ranger was original to that motor. Looks like somebody put it on the OMC lamination (good job). But I do think it was used on Clinton outboards. And possibly some Scott-McCullochs. EDIT: On second look, I think that is an OEM OMC coil on the Ranger—not a repco.
