I’ve always used 3M 847 sealer. It comes in tubes and is oil and gas resistant. It has been a long time since I bought any, because it goes a long way, but I assume they still make it…..
If the crankcase halves use a spaghetti seal, I’ll use the 3M847. If it’s just a metal-to-metal surface, I’ll use Permatex Anaerobic sealer or Permatex Motoseal.
