What is better, vinyl or water-applied?

Water applied is like original in the old motors, vinyl is a little easier to put on.

I like the vinyl. I’ve used it on boat motors, airplanes, boat names. Just measure, be exact and careful…..one opportunity to get it right.

Waterslide decals don’t hold up well. However, if the motor is going to be a runner and possibly take a few bumps and bruises then I would go with water slide. Vinyl decals are otherwise better, but they stretch and gather when they get hit. Waterslide will tear away, which looks better and more original. If it’s a stand queen I’d go with vinyl.
