Diaphram material

Having used the neoprene glove trick to make an emergency diaphram for a fuel pump, i would like to make something more reliable. Bought some diaphram rubber (Neoprene) off ebay and had terrible results as the rubber dissolved within 5 minutes of use. Has anyone found a good source for this material?

jcrigan, If the glove trick you tried was with those light green ones, those were nitrile. If the diaphragm rubber you bought off ebay was really neoprene, that could be the reason why they didn’t hold up. It looks like you can still get diaphragm material here:

Thanks. Didn’t think Olies was still there. I though at the time i was buying nitrile rubber but this stuff dissolved right away. Had to clean lines and carb after that.

I got a 12″ x 12″ sheet of 0.015 nitrile from McMaster and it was cheap. But I just looked at the McMaster online catalog and don’t find it.
