I have found several motors with dusty corrosion inside the integral aluminum fuel tanks.

Does anyone spray the inside of their fuel tanks with something like WD40 before storing the motor to prevent this?

For long term storage I put in some straight TCW-III,
and slosh it around. The most important thing is the
tank is sealed up. If air can get in and out it brings
            moisture with it.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
