I installed the transom drain kit today.
I made both flange fixtures on the lathe
the same. First attempt in squashing it all
together did NOT work….. all it did is flare
the pre-flared end more.
Then the tube was too short to re-flare, so
I had to machine down the outboard fitting
(spacer) thinner. Then used a hammer and dolly
to start the new flare, then used my bolt,
flange fixtures, etc., to draw it all together tight.
I ended up using "Yamabond" for a sealant…..
hope that wan’t a boo boo. Looks good,
and the new drain plug fits nice.
