Hey guys,
I picked up a couple of pressurized fuel tanks for shop use (no sense installing fuel pumps on all my motors until I see how well they run) and now I need a fuel line for use with the tanks. Do any of you have a source for affordable dual fuel lines for a pressurized tank. Thanks for your help,
JackNovember 2, 2020 at 3:16 am #219912You had to go and throw that “affordable” word in there. Looks like the going price is about $6 a foot on e-bay right now, for the bare hose. “Affordable” fuel connectors? I dunno. Perhaps some Good Ol’ Boy here has one.
November 2, 2020 at 7:29 am #219915if it is just to test your engines you can run 2 separate hoses of clear fuel lines (cheaper) & tapped them up or tye-wrapped. ..some use heat shrink tubing
if you decide to go permanent then go for the expensive stuff .

November 2, 2020 at 4:19 pm #219939I’ve been wondering about one of these lately. Got a couple spare riding mower batteries sitting idle….https://www.amazon.com/Doyes-Electric-Transfer-Universal-Carburetor/dp/B07K7J25GJ/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=small+electric+gas+pump&qid=1604351771&sr=8-14
If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

November 2, 2020 at 9:16 pm #219952Sierra 18-8051 is good double hose. Amazon has a 50 foot roll for $118.00. ($2.24 a foot) I bought a roll several years ago, put it on two tanks, and sold the rest for about what I paid plus postage to people here. I’m all out of it now. I mailed it to people coiled up in padded envelopes. I’ll be buying another roll because I have acquired more tanks, but won’t buy hose now until next summer. To find a connector, try a wanted ad on the classified board here.

Here is a site selling for $3.67/foot:
https://www.boatid.com/sierra/1-8-fuel-line-mpn-18-8051.htmlYour NAPA auto parts store can get it for you for $4.49/foot – not cheap but it beats $6/foot, especially if your NAPA store can get it and not charge you shipping.

November 4, 2020 at 5:19 am #220029I don’t know where you’re reading that but with two-line systems, the crank case is the “pump.” I would imagine that the crank case pressure at idle and the crank case pressure at WOT are pretty different. Maybe this is the 2.5 to 4 psi you are talking about??
Long live American manufacturing!
November 4, 2020 at 7:02 am #220033The pressure on that small pump my vary, but those numbers are to tell the buyer if it is a low pressure pump or high pressure one. the pressure could vary because of things like; how high the pump has to pump the fluid , filters in the line, types of fuel, size of the fuel line, number of connections and elbows, atmospheric pressure , ect. There is allot to consider, if pressure is important. Also the pump itself . The manufacturer is saying , the pump will put out at least “x” pounds, but not more than “y” pounds of pressure. according to how well that particular pumps part fit and work together. Hope this helps.
