I recently ran across this dual hull feather craft and was trying to find out more information about it, this is what I know so far it is 16 feet and looks factory made almost like a tunnel hull. The HIN# RB 1xx WG P. ,Does the RB stand for river boat or Riverbarge? Does the GB stand for government boat? Does the W stand for wide? Also what was used for? If anyone has any information or seen one of these I would appreciate it, thank you in advance Randy in Tampa 😎

Try feathercraft.net , they have copies of feathercraft catalogs from ’48-’69. I just looked and did not see any tunnel hulls. If they did make one, someone on there should know.

My bet is that is for a military application. Feather Craft did make boats that tied to each other to make a bridge for men and equipment to get across water. That boat is not like the one you have pictured though.

I don’t know what model it is.

Likely made in the sixties for Uncle Sugar.

If you take your inquiry to Feathercraft.net some of those guys know quite a bit about the various models.

Randy – what makes you think it’s a Feathercraft?

Hi Bill, there’s a ghost of a feathercraft logo on the side 😎

According to Frank Kibler(sp?), owner of the company, their last major work at FeatherCraft was production on a government contract. Several of those boats could have seen duty in southeast Asia. Probably mid to late sixties. I visited him in the mid eighties to research my Meteor inboard.
