      I think your 407 used the same tiller as my 1932 model 409 pictured here. The sales catalog photos just hide it behind the tiller in side view. My 409 seems to have 2 front carry handles: one on the side of the aluminum tiller arm and one on the front of the cast iron tilt/pivot casting. Maybe due to available parts in depression times ?

        Thanks Harry, I have / had a motor with a tiller handle like that,
        except the side bar must have broken off, and someone cut
        it flush with a hacksaw.
        It shouldn’t be too hard to find one to fit……. first I better see
        if the motor is viable!
