I recently acquired 1954 6hp Elgin. Much to my surprise it fired up after only a few pulls.
While running in a barrel, fuel drips out under a cover/inspection ?? plate part # 562471 on the left side.
Is this normal? I know some of these older motors had crankcase puddle drains that dripped right out in plain sight.
      Thanks

The puddle drain cover is in front of the transfer port cover. It has an odd shape. If thats whats leaking remove it and reseal the gasket with sealer.

That’s it…kind of L shaped with ears at the top
          Thanks for reply
