Hello. I am working on restoring a elto pal. I was wondering what I could use for a replacement coil?
Thanks.July 8, 2019 at 9:12 am #178578
No known substitute at this time.
Do you have one?
Are you sure it’s bad?
Have you tested it other than you’re not Getting a Spark?
These coils are rarely bad but it’s very common for
corrosion to occur within the point assembly itself.
Try removing them and giving them a good cleaning.

I have used this small military coil on PALS with good success.July 8, 2019 at 3:24 pm #178618
Checking through my coil substations it appears I
previously checked the dimensions of that coil
and it appears that royaljoe is obviously correct.
The images are dated 5/10/2018 but I have no
reelection of taking them. It’s why I take pictures
of everything. I must add though I have had at least
20 motors with this magneto and never (not saying
yours can’t be bad) had a bad coil.July 20, 2019 at 11:38 am #179205
It’s a two spark ignition coil. Is that the right one?July 20, 2019 at 5:36 pm #179208
No but It will work if you ground one of the
connections to the mag plate and use the
other for the plug wire,
